I have tried repeatedly to get my chromebook to connect to my TV. I purchased this to help with my work but its making it more difficult. I have checked the C to HDMI cable with other laptops and it works perfectly. I can get the home page mirrored but nothing else. If I can't use it for my presentations, it was a waste of time buying it!

I need help please

Which Spin 311 model do you have? Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like CP311-xxx-xxxx since it's a Chromebook. The Windows Spin models would start with SP311 instead. There have been at least five different CP311 base models, and hundreds of different SKUs.

That's not really a model number, they tend to reuse those and don't give us a cross reference. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like CP311-xxx-xxxx. Google suggests at least some of the N19Q10 'models' are actually one of the CP311-3H SKUs, so yours might be a CP311-3H-xxxx. If it is one of those, the USB-C port does support DP Alt Mode video, so you should be able to connect it to a TV using a USB-C to HDMI cable. Once you have the display up, use Settings; Device; Display and choose extend to have the monitor display something other than the builtin screen.
