Nitro 16 (AN16-51) - No audio over USB-C hub

  • The laptop, by itself, works fine and has audio
  • When I plug in my USB-C hub, I get the errors in the attached
  • My work laptop works fine so it's not the hub
  • I've tried the Troubleshoot audio problem options built into windows.
    • I notice when this runs, the audio devices will appear and disappear but ultimately they do not stay
  • I've updated Windows + optional drivers through Windows update
  • I've downloaded and installed the Realtek driver from the Acer website (ver 6.0.9579.1)

Out of ideas at this point so hoping the community can help with some suggestions.

    can't edit my post but I also ran system restore to yesterday but no luck. I haven't installed anything since that time.

    A somewhat similar thread on reddit suggests that something might be killing the au

    Fixed: Read this thread on reddit about the Windows Audio Service repeatedly cutting out.

    Opened Device Manager (Win Key + x) and navigated to Sound, video and game controllers and disabled my Logitech camera's audio (HD Pro Webcam C920 in my case)
