Recently, the display of my Acer Swift SF315-52 G, got damaged. I need to get it repaired. What would be the approximate cost of repair?

Also, should I get it repaired at authorized service center or any local repair shop? The laptop is out of warranty and approximately 5 years old.

    Hi,

You need to contact Acer Support centre in your country to find out the cost of replacing panel, however, if I were you, I would buy the panel myself, get familiarise with replacing panel with youtube videos similar to the one below, buy the panel and install it my self because it's cheaper and if I break something, I know I have done it.

I can explain the method but it's up to you which way you want to do it.

You can buy the panel from a reputable retailer near you and get a confirmation by email that you will get the original panel made by either AUO or BOE and not any other brands of substitutes(probably cheaper compatible brand panels)

These are the two good compatible quality panels:

    NV156FHM-N48

    B156HAN02.1

The panel is secured by double sided tape, so remove the panel as shown in the video, take your time and do it carefully without breaking anything, watch the video several times to familiarise yourself, get some help with other members of family or friends, if needed, you can use the methods in the video or in the pictures to remove the tape, decide which is easier for you.

You also need to buy the double sided tape to install the new panel, once you removed the old tape it may not be usable again.

Just a note, if you try to search anywhere on Acer's sites with SF315-52 G instead of SF315-52G it won't find it. Their search is too exact to handle the extra space, same thing with leaving a dash out…

Acer lists three screens for your model. I believe they are interchangeable:

Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful or click on "Yes" if it answers your question.
