My Acer 717-72g has a blank screen. I tried to reinstall Windows 10 after I could not get to bios on Windows 11 with my USB but my power cord fell out. The computer wouldn`t start until I charged it. How do I reset it for bios?

Based on what you've described, here are the steps I recommend to try to access the BIOS and potentially reset it:

    1. Plug in the power cord to ensure the laptop has a stable power supply during the process.
    2. Power on the laptop and immediately start pressing the F2 key repeatedly. This is the most common key to enter the BIOS on Acer laptops. If F2 doesn't work, you can also try F1, F10, F12, or Del keys.
    3. If you successfully enter the BIOS, look for an option called "Reset to Default," "Load Factory Defaults," or similar. This option is usually found under the "Exit" tab.
    4. If you can't find a reset option, you can try to navigate through the BIOS settings and manually change any settings that may have been altered back to their default values.
    5. Once you have reset the BIOS or made the necessary changes, save the settings and exit the BIOS. The laptop should reboot.

If you can't access the BIOS using the keys mentioned above, you can try the following alternative method:

    1. Shut down the laptop completely.
    2. Remove the battery (if it's removable) and unplug the power cord.
    3. Press and hold the power button for about 30-60 seconds to discharge any residual power.
    4. Put the battery back in (if removed) and plug in the power cord.
    5. Power on the laptop and try accessing the BIOS again using the keys mentioned earlier.
