So, I bought an Acer Aspire 3 315-23 about a year ago, and I also bought a Samsung EVO SS980 NVMe M.2 500GB SSD to install in the M.2 slot. It worked perfectly fine until a week ago when the system stopped detecting the SSD and started booting from the SATA hard drive. I gave the computer to a technician, and he told me that he tried the SSD on another computer, and it wasn’t working.

So, I bought a new SSD, a Western Digital Blue SN580 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 500GB, but when I installed it in the computer, neither the BIOS nor Windows detected the SSD. I tried multiple times, but it still didn’t work.

I have also tried, as some people suggested, disconnecting the hard drive, but it still didn’t work. I have also tried resetting the battery.

I don’t really know what to do now. I hope someone can help me or guide me through this issue; would really appreciate it
