I think it's just something from the inside of the laptop , like a soft "sponge" , probably got caught there when assembled .

I do not see any effect on the performance of the laptop, but does this require me to replace it, or is it so good that there is no need for me to replace it?

I don't know exactly , show me some more photos from different angles and some with the other side also(i mean left and right) .

If it doesn't block the air it shouldn't be a big of a problem …

Those are foams for separating the heatsink and the bottom cover to avoid heating the plastic.

Doesn't look like it's blocking the air , if the laptop was mine i would probably rip it out with some tweezers(the pieces that are showing outsite) or place it better if it's easy to get there when performing a maintenance(cleaning fans,change paste,etc) , after 3-5+ years of hard use it will start to "decompose" itself , but you can leave it like that .
