Predator Helios 300 CTRL keys do not allow for hotkey use

I have a Predator Helios 300 who's CTRL keys have stopped working. I am unable to use hotkeys for Copy/Paste/Cut actions. I tested this on a keyboard mapper and they are the only keys that do not fire.

Last night I took the dry flat of my hand and wiped the top of my laptop keyboard free from dust while it was on (an action I've learned against doing in the future). I have a dual boot Windows 10 and Linux Mint machine and the control has ceased to function and even does not function in the BIOS of the machine.

I've tried holding down both CTRL buttons at the same time and even CTRL + FN + ALT and still no avail.

I can't help but think it was some key combination that locked the keys on the laptop in all OSs and the BIOS. I haven't tried any software specific solutions because it doesn't seem to be OS related issue. Once I plug up an external keyboard (I'm typing on it now) everything works fine.

Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks to any in advance.

    Hi @skellytor it seems to be a physical problem with the key and not a crash since an external keyboard works but I'm not sure.

    Please test if the virtual keyboard works, to do this run:

    OSK

    Also review this configuration:

    Go to the control panel - accessibility center - make it easier to use the keyboard and review the options for special keys.

    All the best.

    @skellytor

    Go to a keyboard test website and press everything on the keyboard to check its functionality.
