Monitor opening/closing issue on Acer chromebook CB514

Have to open/close monitor several times before it opens/displays. Then Off/On varies with monitor opening position. Otherwise performance is OK. 'Any suggestions?

Which CB514 model is it? There have been a number of them over the years. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like CB514-xxx-xxxx. If moving the display part of the laptop changes the behavior then the first thing to look at is the cable that runs between the display and motherboard. That is flexed every time you open or close the laptop, so could have developed cracks in the wires.
