Acer Spin 3 N19W2 - Screen Randomly Goes Black / Shuts Off

Been dealing with this for a while. I have a Spin 3 N19W2 and the screen randomly goes just black / shuts off. It seems to happen when I use certain keys on the keyboard, but I can't really replicate it, and it's not predictable. It's happening a few times a day, but some days not at all. The only way to get the screen back is to hold the power button in for a while, then reboot.

I have been reading and this doesn't seem super uncommon. I do indeed have the little battery reset hole, but does that SOLVE the problem? Not sure what it does.

Any advise would be very appreciated!

We can't tell which Spin 3 you have from the 'N19W2' number, since they don't seem to publish a cross reference. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SP3xx-xxx-xxxx. There are two ways the battery reset hole can be used. You can just press the button under the hole, which disconnects the battery momentarily, causing the system to power off (same as holding the power button down for a few seconds). If you do the rest procedure, which involves holding the button down for 15 or more seconds, releasing then waiting for 15-30 minutes, then plugging power in and waiting for a full battery indication, the internal stats the battery keeps will be reset. The smarts inside the battery sometimes gets those stats garbled, which can cause some weird symptoms.
