I just upgraded from the i5 6400 which worked okay but I needed an upgrade as it is getting old. As soon as I switched to the 9400F my pc does not want to launch. I click the power button and it turns off after half a second. When I had the i5 6400 there were no problems. Can someone please help? Thanks

You can't put anything in other than 6th gen. The motherboard and chipset only support the 6th gen. So, i7-6700 is likely top of the line. Also be aware of thermal and power considerations, the design is for the 65W CPUs, so a 125W will require a complete revamp of cooling.
