Hello, I’m looking for some advice regarding repasting a Nitro 5 2022. I’ve bought Gelid GP Extreme 1.0mm pads and Noctua NT-H2 paste, but I’m hesitant about whether they’re the right choices for replacing the factory thermal pads, putty, and paste. One video showed everything being replaced with just thermal paste, but some comments disagreed with this approach. Also, in a reddit post someone reported issues when swapping out the ‘pink stuff’ (which I think is thermal putty) for thermal pads, he later mentions that he bought k5 pro and that solved his issues. I want to know if what i bought is useful, should i buy "k5 pro" or what should i buy to repaste it. Thank you.

For VRAM (chips surrounding the GPU), since you have bought the pads, you can try it out to see if it makes any contact. Do this first before wiping off the old paste from the CPU and the GPU. Using thermal putty like K5 Pro is recommended since it works with a wide range of gaps.

For CPU and GPU, use the Noctua NT-H2 paste.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

I had my Nitro 5 repasted with PTM7950 and K5 PRO after I read this review on Amazon

and watched a few videos on YouTube that recommend such a repaste. My temps are about the same as in that review so I can confirm that it's true, eh. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2JS3FNYN7P0KH/
