Predator Helios PH315-53 performance drop mid gaming

Ive had the Predator Helios PH315-53 for a bit over a year now and recently had to take it to a waranty repair due to motherboard failour but after getting the laptop back with a new mother board a problem that i didnt previously have has come up. after playing for a while the pc starts to struggle with the game that it was running perfectly just moments before. the time it takes for the problem to start is non consistant and the only way to fix the problem is to restart the system after wich the game will run fine untill the problem comes back again. ive racked my brain for what could be causing this but i cant figure it out. one thing ive noticed is that when the problem starts the charching light on the laptop turns from blue to red wich is linked to if the laptop is charching and if the battery is full or not. is there a way to fix this ishue or will i have to get a new pc to support my long gaming sessions?

Thermal paste and fans needed to be clean after a year. Check if your GPU/CPU temperature are going above 90°C while playing games

i checked on the thermals and cleaned the fans and so on but the cpu temps didnt go over 90c even whilst running cpu stress programs it did hover araund 85 tho but dropped the second the cpu load was removed gpu only hit a peak of 75c even whilst running furmark. i dont think the thermal paste is the problem sience the motherboard was recently replaced and if it was a problem in cooling it would take less time than the aprox 30mins to 2 hours to start. in my mind the pc is gouing in to some oh no i dont have enough power i need to drop performance to save battery power mode and not turning that mode off once that is not a problem anymore.

Sounds stupid but try blowing into the charging port and barrel connector like a Nintendo cartridge. Can try downloading hardware monitor too to see if one of the cores in the cpu is too hot instead of just going off package temp, might be informative too if power draw on CPU or GPU drops while issue is occurring. If temps are good and power draw is normal I'd try windows install since troubleshooting software and/or driver issues is a monster of a task if you're not a professional (even then, so called professionals typically just reinstall the os lol) I'm not claiming to be a professional though, so if you go down the software/driver route you'd need someone elses help. Could be RAM too, could take that long for a faulty stick to start throwing enough errors to affect the system. Could download ADIA or Prime and test the cpu and memory while running gpu stress test for a couple hours to see and record via hardware monitor the power draw and temps so you can walk away then review it when it's done. And check battery for swelling, even while plugged in a swollen battery will cause wacky issues. Possible could be something like paste though, may not be new paste if they used a dono board, and even if it were new paste could be a bad contact or spread causing one or more of the cores to get too hot. Package temp is not a very good indicator for things but at least with hardware monitor you will be able to get a fuller picture. Other than checking event viewer and seeing if anything helpful there that would be the end of my advice.
