Why does ITW exist if it doesn’t work when you bought the device while traveling?

Acer's International Travel Guarantee is just a fancy marketing name.
You will never receive the assistance stated in the warranty program if you bought the device while traveling. This is all due to the cunning formulation of the concept of “bona fide traveler”.
I bought an Acer Swift Edge computer while traveling in Malaysia. Unfortunately, the computer has a problem that I did not notice right away. While on my next trip to Europe, I contacted the local service center listed on the Acer website. However, I received this response:
"...To use ITW warranty as I write in latest email You need to be a bona fide traveler: a “bona fide traveler” is a person (as You) temporarily present outside the territorial scope of the Local Warranty covering the respective Product. You are not temporarily outside Malaysia, because You are not resident or citizen of country where You bought this unit. So You can`t be considered as bona fide traveler. If I am wrong please send us confirmation that You are resident of Malaysia where Your unit have local warranty...."
Thus, following the logic of the European Acer service, it is impossible for me to receive warranty service under the International Traveler Guarantee program under any conditions, since I am not a resident of the country in which I made the purchase.

The moderators probably don't like a post about this very much, so it will probably be deleted again soon. However, I have all the necessary documentary evidence of what has been said here

The moderators typically don't delete posts unless the content has bad words or personal attacks (other than SPAM and malicious links, of course). I've asked if they can look into your situation. I've never needed to use the ITW so haven't any insight into it's terms.
