Aspire S3-391 volume is too low.

I have been using ACER Aspire S3-391 with i5 processor and DOlby sound since Dec2012.. The sound volume has kept going down and has come to a barely audible level even when volume is maximum. If I send a mail to ACER they ask me to log in service with call centre-a tedious process. So far I have been using Dell and this is the first time I have chosen ACER. Ther service response of Dell was extra sharp and I was never made towait long. One mail was enough to get results.

Did I make a mistake of changing from Dell to ACER?
