How to recover a Chromebase CV 24 V2 i7. Chromebase shows the error measage No Chrome Os available

My Chromebase shows the error measage No Chrome Os available. I did try the recover mode but was not successful.

Any suggestions?

    The CA24V2 Chromebase (I find no reference for a CV24V2) has a 32GB M.2 SSD installed, in the smaller 2242 form factor:

    If that drive has failed you would see those symptoms. The motherboard itself seems to have standoff for both form factors though:

    #9 is the SSD connector. the standoffs are directly above. If you have a failed drive, and are out of warranty, I'd suggest getting a reasonably cheap drive of 32GB or 64GB, or even 128GB, to replace the current one, then do the recovery installation. Note that the drives listed in the service guide are all SATA, not NVMe, though the block diagram shows four PCIe lanes, so NVMe might be compatible.
