ED270RM DP input suddenly not recognized

I bought this display in October '23 and has been working like a champ using a DP connection to my GPU. About 10 days ago, it stopped working, and started going through a "searching for input" type scanning loop, with the OSD showing "DP" then "HDMI 2.0" then "HDMI 1.0" then nothing. Every time it looped to the DP, it would show my desktop or active window for a brief bit of time (literally about 1-2 seconds) before continuing to look for an input from one of the HDMI ports.

Can someone help me determine why this display suddenly doesn't want to recognize the DP input when there's clearly a DP connection (and it shows the image from that connection for a second or two)?

First try a different cable, or reseating the existing cable. Nine times in ten that will be the issue…
