Hi There,

I have a Acer Nitro 5 2021, AN515-56-58EE

looking to upgrade my RAM, it comes with 8gb 3200Mhz DDR4 SODIMM CL22

I have recently bought a kit 32gb (2x16gb) Corsair vengeance SODIMM DDR4 3200Mhz CL22 1.2V

after doing a swap of my ram (making sure I touch some metal before)

i turned on the laptop (keyboard lights up, and LED light aswell) but the screen stay black, I have tried many things :

  • using only one 16gb stick in each slots, then swapped and tried the other one in each slots aswell, nothing shows up..
  • updating my BIOS
  • removing "fast BOOT" from BIOS and from settings
  • wait with the black screen 20 minutes, nothing

when I set my 8gb back in, it works fine

I have tried to enter the BIOS with the new ram, it doesn't do anything..

so today I went to see a computer service center, the guy tried the Corsaire Vengeance Ram in is laptop, it was working fine, so the ram are not faulty, I have tried one of his 16gb ram, the laptop boot in normally and I have 16gb ram (unfortunately he didn't had an other 16gb, so I couldn't try 32gb)

after few searches I know that the laptop support 32GB and more

The guy from the center told me to send back those Corsaire Vengeance and get an other brand

What do you think of these? is there anything I'm missing?

Any other stuff I can try?

You can't use the Corsair Vengeance type ram as its an XMP/overclocked type ram that the Nitro AN515-56 laptop does not work with as it only operates with ordinary none overclocked DDR4-3200MHz CL22 type ram like listed below from the AN515-56 Acer service guide, so use the listed ram below if you want 32GN max ram or use the Crucial ram for 64GB total ram.

If you want to have a total capacity of 64GB (2x 32GB DDR4 type ram) use the Crucial System scan for the AN515-55 laptop as its the same laptop as the AN515-56 and all the ram and M.2 SSD and 2.5" SSD drive upgrades are also compatible with the Nitro 5 AN515-56. The Crucial 64GB max ram capacity workable ram for the AN515-56 laptop. is the 64GB KIT - 2x 16GB DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8 • PC4-25600 that works if you want to upgrade to an even higher ram capacity.

I've got the same exact AN515-56 laptops and I've upgraded to the 32GB total ram and bought 2x 16GB DDRIV 3200 16GB HMAA2GS6AJR8N-XN type ram recommended by Acer in its SG below, and this 32GB upgrade has been working perfectly for 2.5 years and never ever had any problems, so I suggest that you do the same and get 2x of the highlighted type 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz CL22 type ram listed below to get your AN515-56 laptop to operate with 32GB total ram. Good luck.

Use the highlighted ram below at 2x 16GB ram modules, but you can also increase this laptop ram max capacity ram to 64GB @ 2x 32GB

hey mate thanks for your answer, unfortunately I can’t find the references that you sent as a “kit/bundle of 2x16gb” and I’d rather have a kit than two separates single stick of ram

What do you think of those would they work ?

also what do you think of SP brand ?
