CB282K monitor mount into shallow vesa hole. How do I mount the vesa connecter

I just got a new CB282K monitor.

How do I mount the vesa connecter you see in the picture to the monitor?

The connector is too big to fit in the recessed area of the vesa connection of the monitor.

That doesn't look like a VESA adapter from Acer. With it that size you will need to put some short standoffs in to bring the screw holes out a bit.
