Acer R721T keyboard issue. keyboard stops working except the numbers 5 and 6.

We are a school district that has purchased about 450 Acer R721T chromebooks over the last couple years and after the first year, it seems the keyboard stops working except the numbers 5 and 6. We have tried power washing, hardware resets the only thing that seems to work is to replace the keyboard. As a school district our budgets are pretty tight. We can't afford to keep replacing keyboards every time this happens. We probably had over half of these devices affected by this issue. Is something being done about this? Acer has to know they have a big issue with all these keyboards needing to be replaced. I see I'm not the only one with this issue. What is being done about this?

I have reached out to them a couple years ago when this issue first started and nothing came from it. I will reach out again to them and see if there is any update. I was hoping someone from Acer would respond to this.
