My acer laptop won't turn on

My acer laptop wont turn on. If i plug it in to the charger the light will light up either blue or orange, but if i unplug it the light goes out.

What Aspire model and what Windows version? If you see a small pinhole at the back of the laptop with a battery sign, stick a pin in it till you feel it click, keep pressing the pin down a few seconds to reset the battery.

Hi @Wmaurer waiting to know your model as you have been told, this has happened suddenly or you had previous problems.
The fact that the LEDs turn on when you connect the power supply and turn off when you disconnect, may indicate a battery problem. In some models, the battery is connected in series with the power supply. In these cases, when the battery does not charge, Perhaps due to an internal short, the equipment cannot turn on with the power supply.
