Where can I source a charger required for Nitro 5 AN515-55-5838

I'm trying to find a replacement charger for my Nitro 5. All original models of my charger [CHICONY A17-180P4A Adapter] are all from fishy websites and I don't trust them either not sending the product or shipping a defective product.

Is it possible to use a universal AC laptop charger,

I have found one which claims:

If not, where can I buy an original charger for the nc20c1, does not have to be CHICONY, can be an ACER charger that also works.

Hi,

Could you please post the full model name of the Nitro 5 laptop, it looks like AN517-58 or similar format, you can find the model name on a label at the base cover.

I have provided the part numbers for the adapter, you could try search online for an adapter using the part number, if you can not find any retailers, try contacting Acer Support Australia ask for help to find a partner retailer in Australia, they may be able to find one.

Hi thanks so much for the replies.

Just to confirm: Minimum Wattage will be 135. However what is the minimum amps. I believe I've found compatible chargers at 135w however their amperage is less than the original 180w charger of 9.23

However these ones are listed as 19v whereas those you've listed me register 19.5. Is the .5 voltage difference negligible so long as the wattage and amperage are met?

Watt= V x Amp, so as long as the Watt is what you want/need forget about the Voltage and Amp.

Get an original AN515-55 adapter from a renowned Acer parts retailer like Zendparts or search the web for genuine Acer parts and for an adapter for the Nitro AN515-55 adapter by its Acer part number (see list above) as that is the best way to get a genuine original Acer oem adapter, don't buy adapters from eBay or Amazon that are cheap copies as they will not last and could damage your laptop. Yes, I have checked the part numbers for AN515-45 and some of them match with the part numbers of AN515-55, I have attached the part numbers for AN515-45 as well for you to compare, for example, KP.13503.010 can be used in both models(AN515-55 and AN515-45), same with KP.1350H.002 and so on.

I think this adapter will be fine for your model as well but I am not sure about the second link:

I've been back and fourth a little bit with a registered ACER spare parts handler

They identified my model through the SNID that I require a 180w charger instead of a 135W. Should I go along with this or are they trying to upsell by not offering the minimum charger requirements of 135W.

They may have only the 180W charger in stock, if you are only interested in 135W charger, get the one in the link in my previous post(AN515-45 charger) which is compatible with your model as well, you can check it by clicking "Fits to" in this link: https://www.zandparts.com/en/acer-kp-13501-008

This is to check that the same adapter works in both models.
