    If the hinges are loose because you dropped it with some physical damages than it wont be covered under warranty. But if it is a manufacturing defect than it might be covered or you can check with the store for replacement

    Typically they aren't covered under warranty. When they come loose from the case it's usually caused by opening the laptop too quickly or roughly. You can always try though…

    I have successfully had Acer replace several chassis under warranty. The Travelmate series is particularly bad for it. It's got some of the weakest hinges of any laptop currently in the market and Acer does not seem to wanna fix the design. They will try and say it's not covered under warranty but if you push and call them out on the design flaw, you can get them to honor the warranty.
