hi, I recently bought this laptop, and whenever I plug in my headset (Razer Barracuda X 2022, wireless with the dongle) it does recognize the microphone, but will use built-in anyways. I’ve tried everything and still not working. Any solutions?

Open Sound Control Panel. Click recording tab. Make sure razer mic is checkmarked, not mic array

yeah, it’s checkmarked now. I kinda figured out how to make it work, the issue now is that the mic doesn’t recognize your voice unless you speak loud (it doesn’t happen with other devices)

Open Sound Control Panel again. Click recording tab again. Right click properties on razer mic. Click levels tab. Move volume sliders to the right.

Hi @MrDavid99 can you try them on another device to rule out a problem with the headset itself?

Please post a screenshot of Device Manager as it opens. Do not manually expand any Device Manager folders.

Does the same happen in other applications or games?
Check that the application you are using it does not have a parallel volume control.

    (1) Did you manually expand the audio and video controller folder as shown below? Or did Device Manager automatically expand the folder like this when you opened Device Manager?

    (2) Has the headset's Win11 firmware update been applied yet from this link?
