While using (or leaving idle) my device for an hour or so either I get this BSOD [Video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error] or NVIDIA GPU stop working (not functional in task manager).

Device info:-
Acer Aspire 7 A715-76G
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H   2.00 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (4 GB)  [running driver - 31.0.15.3210 OEM's recommended]
Windows: Windows 11 Home Single Language
Version 23H2
OS build 22631.3527

I've tried the following :-
- reinstalling the graphics driver from acer's website and tried latest one as well.
- removed the graphics driver using DDU in safe mode and reinstalling the latest one while windows update is paused and windows defender is disabled.
- updating drivers from Nvidia.
- formatting the windows.(removed all my files and did a fresh install like a new laptop)
- Got the motherboard changed by Acer's service center.
I tried to do all the stuff: Drivers, Bios and Windows are up-to-date.
STILL THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS.

All the dumps created has same error, as checked on BlueScreenView, Bug check code: 0x00000113

Appreciate if anyone could help me with this issue.

You wrote: "removed the graphics driver using DDU in safe mode and reinstalling the latest one while windows update is paused and windows defender is disabled." Redo that again with DDU but don't install anything as Windows will just replace the driver again at some point. Leave Defender Firewall enabled and stay online, when you reboot, let Windows install the best driver.

After removing NVIDIA driver with DDU in safe mode, windows update installed NVIDIA driver 30.0.15.1122 which is from Date: 10-01-2022.

I'll update if it's stable or still facing BSOD.

No point updating manually as Windows will keep replacing it. If you have Windows Pro, you may be able to stop the automatic updating with a policy, but only few people managed that. 😑

What's the solution then till now I've 5 to 6 drivers but nothing seems to working, still ending up with BSOD.

the gpu is probably dead, same thing happened with me on my A715-41G with a 1650, i tried everything all drivers new ssd and ram reinstalled windows a bunch of times, but the laptop only works with the gpu disabled now, i see this problem being faced by a lot of people who use acer laptops, not gonna buy from them again

    hi ,
i too have the same model Aspire 715-76G-548J, getting same problem when i use RTX3050,
since the very second day of i purchase the laptop.

done everything you did. but problem has not resolved.
this happens specifically while usage of software such as blender, davinci.

Now taken to service center. as it is in warranty.

service center person blamed the 3rd party software issue. But BSOD is BIOS & Hardware level problem that they cannot blame any 3rd party software. me after convincing them,
they have reinstalled OS, still problem persisted. then updated BIOS and Nvidia Driver to 32.0.15.5585.

still problem exist and I have planned to re approach service center. and update if fixed.

incase if you have found a solution please update here.

These Acer service center guys will not help you until you chase them very aggressively, they'll always try to say something that doesn't make sense and close your case ID.

Try to get them to replace your motherboard and see if it helps, and always use OEM's recommended driver.

If your unit is very new, try to get it replaced.

It's not if I disable the GPU driver and re enable it and immediately put it in use (running something which needs GPU) then there won't be an issue, tried to play Valorant for 4 hours straight.

As soon as the GPU goes idle, not in use, for lets say an hour and then I run something which needs GPU, it'll crash with BSOD.

Hi @aksh_jswl. Did you find a fix yet?

I also have the same issue with my A715-75G. And yes I also tried everything you mentioned. I got my motherboard changed as well since it was in warranty period. After changing the motherboard, it worked well for a few days but then the same issue returned and now it is out of warranty period. Please help.
