The first 2-3 years battery wear is about 10-20%/year depending on the quality and manufactory date of a Li-Ion battery, cheap refurbished batteries can last up to 3 years. High quality Acer endorsed batteries should last 1000 charge cycles or up to 5-6 years. Capacity wear is not linear, after 50% when some cells start to deteriorate more rapidly it becomes dicey and best to replace a battery even though still 50% capacity is left as remaining lifespan is unpredictable. I replace my laptop batteries after 3-4 years but some wait till the battery dies (get the most out of it). There is a lot of stuff published about longevity of the Li-Ion battery and you should treat most of that as misinformation and sales jive not based on scientific research. The few objective publications mostly agree that there is nothing you can do to stretch the lifespan of a modern Li-Ion battery with a build-in Smart chip. Having said that, you should keep a battery charged 24/7 and a new battery must undergo one full charge cycle for BIOS and MS ACPI drivers to register the capacity and repeat after reinstalling Windows. Take a battery out of the laptop if stored for several months and keep both laptop and battery cool and dry. Don't use battery charging limiters, turn off the Acer Care Center 80% battery limit (no longer available in the last versions) and make sure your power adapter is plugged-in when playing games and the battery is fully charged. I assume you have the 2021 model with Thunderbolt4 USB-C power delivery and a 100-Watt gaming laptop USB-C charger can be used a backup or traveling (see link below) but for serious gaming use the "brick" adapter.

SI got support about this from 1-2 sites and one of them tells me to charge my computer 3 times to 0 and then to 100, and Microsoft support gives me a code to go back to the default settings.
