    @jhdoherty

    Click on the below link and enter the serial number or SNID and you can find the drivers

    what happens when you open voice recorder and try to record..? if it does not record anything then check the settings for Microphone, make sure its enabled. Also, you can run a windows troubleshooter to quickly identify the issue..

    You can also access device manager and uninstall the drivers (do not check the box to delete the driver) post this restart the device and check..

    Hi Rudy, thank you so much for the advice. I'd already already been through your steps before posting, but to no avail. The driver shown used to be a Realtek one but now it reads 'Microsoft Array (Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Microphones)'. I've tried finding a new driver on Acer but it's not clear which one I should download. The one I did find didn't seem to have a easy .exe file and I'm a bit limited tech-wise to go beyond this. Thanks anyhow and if anyone has any alternative ideas they'd be much appreciated.

    Dear Rudy, I've downloaded this but it's just a bunch of folders and files and there's no obvious way to launch it eg the .exe file. Please can you send me instructions? Thank you.

    Sorry, my bad.. once you open the file, you would see 3 folders and other stuff, forget all these and look for name setup and the type is application. just double tap it and install the application.
