Recently i purchased Acer Nitro V 15 gaming Laptop and notice that its battery backup is poor (roughly 2.5 hours) although it has 4 cell 57wh li-ion battery, now i want upgrade its battery with higher watt hours for improved battery backup.

what are the options acer is giving for upgradation?

Can I upgrade it to 90wh battery?

2.5-3 hours battery life is still OK, no need to change your battery. You have to keep your battery fully charged and leave the power adapter plugged in 24/7. The power consumption of the RTX 4050 dGPU is up to 165 W that can deplete a battery in 30 minutes. These "test" you read in reviews of 9.5 hours battery are done with reduced screen brightness down to 30%, use the Battery Saver/Power Efficiency plan, iGPU only, disable turbo boost and browse the internet a lttle and keep all background programs disabled. No, you cannot install a larger capacity battery but you should do a full charge cycle with a new laptop/battery so BIOS and MS ACPI protocol can register the full capacity of your battery, failing to do that will result in bad battery stats in Windows: Charge the battery till the amber battery LED turns blue and wait 10 minutes, boot to Windows and verify the battery meter on the taskbar reads 100% charged. Disable Hibernate, Fast Startup and reset the Power Plan to factory defaults in "Edit Power Plan". Unplug the brick power adapter with the round DC barrel plug (don't use the USB-C charger for this) and work till the laptop shuts down on its own (don't panic nothing will be lost). Close the lid and plug in the power adapter, charge again till the amber battery light turns blue and wait an extra 10 minutes. That's it.
