My PSU is going out - the fan is loud and irratic - so I need to replace it but have read on the forums that the PSU Acer used on these PCs in a bit of an oddball and hard to replace.
I need to have a list of PSU that are compatible and/or a schematic of the PSU and their cords/ends so I can try to fix this.
I'm retired and can't afford a new PC, nor can I afford to replace mobo, etc., if I can't find the correct PSU. I've been trying for a couple of weeks to get Acer to send me a verification email and finally, when I tried today, it went through. I've not been using the PC in all this time so a quick response would be greatly appreciated.

That's a pricey 500watt PSU part no. DC.5001B.004. So the cheapest fix is pulling the PSU box apart and simply replacing its commodity-part ~$15 fan.

If you don't feel comfortable replacing the fan yourself, you can google search by the official ACER PSU part number. That usually yields high-priced authorized Acer re-sellers. Or you can google search by ''po3-600 and power supply'. That usually yields lower-prices from unaffiliated sellers like on ebay.

No need to buy an expensive PSU. Your PO3-600 uses a standard ATX supply with the 24pin connector to the motherboard. Pick up another 500W, or better yet go with a 650W or 800W for better expansion and less stress on the supply.

Actually, and unfortunately, this PC uses the 12v only psu so a 10 (?) pin connector, like what was posted above. Way to go, Acer, for putting together a pc that doesn't have readily available parts.

Another option is to try and clean/replace the fan, but it isn't easy, either. I run the risk of electrocution, as I've no idea how to discharge...and every YouTube video shows the 24pin. Terrified.
