Hi, please, does anybody know if the USB C port in the ACER Nitro 5 (AN515-55) supports an HDMI extended monitor display? I already have an existing monitor connected to the HDMI port, and I want to add a second monitor using the USB C port.

Sorry no. The USB ports are data only ports. They do not natively support alternate mode video displayport or HDMI signal output. Accordingly, you would need an active USB-2-video signal converter, not an inactive USB-2-video connector adapter. Other users have reported the following signal converters work on data only USB ports. However they only support very low frame rates so aren't suitable for gaming or most videos.
