Acer M3-581TG USB power problem

Dear Acer Support,

At the back of the M3-581TG there are three USB ports: two USB2 and one USB3.

When there is an external hard drive plugged into the USB3 port the wireless mouse which is plugged into one of the USB2 ports does not work properly.  The cursor moves intermittently, sometimes it moves freely and sometimes it sticks.

It looks as if the USB3 is taking too much power from the USB2 ports.

Has anyone come across this before? And if so what can be done to solve it please?

Any suggestions or advice much appreciated.

    Hi,

Did you solve this problem? I'm suffering with the same one with my Acer M5-481PT-6488.

    Thanks,

    Igor
