Hi everyone! I need some help solving a sound issue with my Acer Nitro 5. It has been absolutely great laptop, however, a couple of weeks ago my Bluetooth headphones stopped working properly. I think Windows updated some drivers. So I went to disable the Mic and Handsfree Telephony but then the drivers crashed. I did several Windows resets because the Audio Drivers just kept crashing. Currently, I am running Audio_Realtek_6.0.9132.1_W11x64_A. The Bluetooth headphones still does not work. What`s more, the volume and bass are not as loud as they used to be when I connect the headphones via the cable.
After installing the Audio driver the sound was loud and clear then it asked for a Windows restart and after rebooting it asked to install I suppose another bit of the driver and that's when the volume lowered to I reckon 60%-80%. I checked all settings and the volume is at 100%. However, I can clearly see that the bars do not go all the way to 100% when performing a Sound Test. Also, I have external speakers and certainly, now I need to turn them to max volume to get the sound that I used to get with just 50% on the volume knob before.

Is there a better driver that I can use and how can I fix the Bluetooth Audio issue?

I just updated to Audio_Realtek_6.0.9641.1 but still, the volume on the headphones isn't as it used to be.

I still have the Bluetooth issue tho. The headphones just won't work as they should. Very poor quality and low volume sound.

The audio quality in your Nitro laptop depends on many drivers and not only on the Realtek audio driver, the below list is a list from the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant scan that you should install on your Nitro laptop and get all the Intel audio drivers up to date, and as you can see that there are audio drivers from Intel and NVidia drivers that all need to be updated together with the Realtek audio driver as that will make your audio perform at its best and without any distortion or bad sound quality.

The below list is from a Nitro 5 AN515-56 laptop that its audio works 100%, also and when you get your audio working installed and working properly, install the FxSound enhancer as that will improves your audio even more with many presets for all types of sound types and gaming. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Thank you for the advice. However, it seems that all audio drivers are up to date according to the Intel Assistant, unless I am missing something?
