Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 Suddenly fps drops to 1-10( Nvidia overlay shows CPU 100% load, GPU 10%)

When the processor reaches 80 degrees, fps at one moment drops to 3-5 even after the game is closed. The processor frequency is reduced to 746 MHz (usually 2.4GHz). If I switch coolboost to nitrosense, it magically fix my computer for a while. Turboboost turned off.The strange thing is that in benchmarks and stress tests, this does not happen, only during the game. This happens on both windows 11 and windows 10

It seems like you're experiencing performance issues with your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57, particularly with sudden FPS drops during gaming sessions. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Overheating: As you mentioned, when the processor temperature reaches 80 degrees Celsius, the FPS drops occur. Ensure that your laptop's cooling system is working properly and that the air vents are not blocked. Consider using a laptop cooling pad to improve airflow.
    2. Update Drivers: Make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause performance issues. You can download the latest drivers from the Nvidia website or through Acer's support website.
    3. Power Settings: Check your laptop's power settings to ensure that it's set to "High Performance" mode while gaming. This can help ensure that your CPU and GPU are running at their maximum capacity.
    4. Monitor CPU Usage: Use Task Manager or a third-party monitoring tool to keep an eye on CPU usage while gaming. This can help you identify any background processes or applications that may be causing high CPU usage and impacting performance.
    5. Disable Background Applications: Close any unnecessary background applications and processes that may be consuming CPU resources while gaming. This includes web browsers, music players, and other non-essential programs.
    6. Check for Malware: Run a full antivirus scan to check for any malware or viruses that may be affecting your system performance.
    7. Reset Windows Power Plans: Sometimes, resetting your Windows power plans to default settings can help resolve performance issues. You can do this by opening Command Prompt as an administrator and running the command: powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
    8. Reinstall Graphics Drivers: If updating the drivers doesn't help, try uninstalling the graphics drivers completely and then reinstalling them.
    9. Update BIOS: Check if there are any BIOS updates available for your laptop on Acer's support website. Sometimes, BIOS updates can improve system stability and performance.
    10. Contact Acer Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, consider contacting Acer's customer support for further assistance. It's possible that there may be a hardware issue with your laptop that requires professional attention.

By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the FPS drops and performance issues with your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57.

Thanks for the common response. I've tried all of the above. It didn't help. I think the problem is with the motherboard, I'll give it to the service center.
