My Predator Helios 300 Series (ph315-51-78yv) is not turning off properly. As in, often when I make the laptop shutdown, sleep, or hibernate (i dont know about restarting), it will show a blank screen, the keyboard backlight is on, the fans are on, the screen is off, and windows is also off. I then have to hold down the power button for it to actually turn off.

I have updated the bios to the latest version, changed power settings, reset the bios config. But the issue is still occuring, please help as I use this for school and it not turning off properly means that I can't close the lid when I need to go to my next class.

Microsoft recommends disabling Hibernate and Fast Startup for W10-W11 and using the default Advanced Power Pan settings. In "Change what closing the lid does" click on "Do nothing" and in "Change settings currently not available" disable Hibernate and Fast Startup. If you are using the Acer custom Power Plan change that to Windows default plans Balanced or Best Performance, click on "Reset" to factory defaults just in case you changed some of the Advanced settings. Reset BIOS with F9 in BIOS and save settings. Boot to Windows and run the DISM Online and SFC commands as you may have corrupted system files by keeping the Power Button down (not recommended) https://www.howtogeek.com/747587/why-long-pressing-the-power-button-could-damage-your-system/
Go online and open the Command Prompt as Administrator, paste this: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and press Enter. After completion paste this command: SFC /scannow and press Enter. That should complete with "….did not find any integrity violations" Repeat till you see that.
