Issue with FPS in Games - Request for Assistance

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance with an issue I am experiencing regarding FPS (Frames Per Second) while gaming on my Acer Nitro AN517-41 laptop.

Specifically, when playing games such as League of Legends, I notice that my FPS hovers around 80 (~3 GHz CPU), whereas I would like it to be capped at 165 FPS to match the refresh rate of my laptop screen, which is 165 Hz.

I have attempted to address this by adjusting the power settings in the Windows system, which allowed me to increase the CPU clock speed to approximately 3.5 GHz. However, upon launching League of Legends, I observe that after 5 to 10 minutes of gameplay, the clock speed reverts back to around 3 GHz. After exiting Lol the CPU cloock returns to approximately 3,5 GHZ.

I am wondering if there is a way to sustain the higher clock speed or if there are any alternative solutions to stabilize the FPS at a satisfactory level.

Thank you for providing the optimization guide. I will be sure to test it out today to see if it helps resolve the issue. However, I am still seeking guidance on how to increase the CPU clock speed.

When no games are running, the CPU clock speed remains at around 3.5 GHz. However, when launching a game like Valorant, the clock speed drops to around 2.4 GHz, resulting in approximately 80 FPS in League of Legends and similar performance in other games.

My laptop is equipped with an RTX 3070 graphics card, a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor, and 64 GB of RAM, so I believe background processes or Windows optimization should not significantly impact performance. My main concern is how to maintain a higher CPU clock speed during gaming sessions.

I appreciate any further advice or suggestions you can provide on this matter.
