I have a KA272U monitor. Is it possible to force the refresh rate to always use 60hz?

You do that in Windows Disable Variable Refresh rate and set the rate at 60 Hz.

Yes, it's a function of your graphics card, not of the monitor.

    Thanks Puraw,

I was hoping for a hardware solution on the monitor. I'm actually running a dual monitor setup on linux and to keep the screens from resetting after I wake the monitors up from sleep mode, I have two edid passthrough adapters. They only support 60hz refresh rates unfortunately. So, I am at a blank screen on the grub bootup menu, when I login and in bios.

I'll try to work it out in linux and for the rare instance of needing bios, I'll re-cable one of the monitors.

    Thanks!
