Can I add a Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD to my acer nitro 5 an515-52bw?

    Yes, you can use the Crucial P3 Plus 1TB SSD. Although it is PCIe Gen 4, it will be limited by the laptop to Gen 3 (~3500MB/s)

    Spec says the M.2 slot is reserved for Optane, but in the real world any of the NVMe drives should work. It's a 4 lane PCIe 3.0 channel, so as suggested you don't really want to pay extra for a 4.0 drive, since it will run at the 3.0 speeds.
