This has been a great laptop and still is I just can't get the fans to come on like they used to to keep it from overheating. Its almost like the Nitro 5 is not installed. Can someone help me please. The people from Acer tried to help me and once they did help me to get it back on track again, but this last time a few days ago I was left disappointed and he was getting tired I think. But we both tried. Used to I could change the colors on my keypad and adjust the fans if it started getting too hot.

What is your Nitro 5 laptops model number, as if its old and you mainly used this laptop for gaming then the cpu/gpu fans might be worn and on the way out, hence and why they are not spinning or reacting to Nitro Sense like when your laptop was new. Give us more details as these cpu/gpu fans are regulated by heat sensors monitored by a software like Nitro Sense in your laptop, and to have the fans on all the time, is a mod that is not recommended. Its allot better if your Nitro performs to Acer oem specs and no modifications are done to it.

Overheating of Nitro 5 usually happens if the fan or the heat sink is blocked with dirt and dust.
It is best to vacuum the laptop through the vents so that the dirt and dust are sucked out. If overheating persist, it's best to open the back cover and clean them.
