Acer Swift 3 (SF314-42) affected by AMD Processor Vulnerabilities? Will Acer provide a BIOS update?

Hello everyone,

I own a notebook model Acer Swift 3 (SF314-42) with an AMD Ryzen 5 Mobile 4500U processor with Radeon Graphics (Renoir, FP6). I bought it in 2021-Jan and the BIOS version is 1.11 (released on 2022-10-18 and, as of today, the latest one according to Acer support page).

As far as I understand, the processor in my notebook is also affected. The security issues should be fixed by a BIOS update from Acer.

Unfortunately, my 3-year maintenance contract (Acer Care Plus) expired in 2024-Jan and I'm worried that my notebook is too old and Acer won't provide any BIOS security updates for it.

Does anyone know if Acer will release a BIOS update for this model? Can I contact Acer directly with my question and can someone recommend contact details (email or phone number, ideally in Germany/Europe) for that?

Acer typically releases BIOS updates for a couple of years after launch. After that updates tend to come via Windows Update.
