I got 8 GB of RAM. Thinking of adding another 8. Got Kingston 2666 MHz DDR4 CL 19

CPU Intel i5-9300H 2.40 GHz

1- Should I get the same model for better performance?

2-What's the max RAM speed supported here given the laptop model and CPU?

3- Would it be better if I change it altogether and get a pair of 8 GB/ Single 16 GB RAM. Different model/lower CL

4- Any RAM recommendations for this laptop model?

Hi,

1.No, you can buy different brand but with same specs, like frequency and CL value.

2.The maximum frequency supported by your laptop is 2666MHz.

3.No, you can get another 8GB DDR4 2666MHz module and install, that will give you the performance but avoid buying any RAM with XMP profile(they may come with lower CL value) they are not suitable for your model.

4. Kingston 8GB 2666MHz DDR 4 SODIMM module but avoid Kingston HyperX or any similar models because they have XMP profile.
