Hi,

My laptop model is E5-573, it has core i3 CPU and despite replacing the fan and thermal re-pasting many times it is badly overheating, going above 90c during normal browsing like opening a single tab.

So now I want to change fan speed from bios, I can access the advanced section but there are many sections related to thermals so I'm unable to decide which section's settings I should change to set my fan speed to high.

Humbly request the community to guide me thru thermal fan speed settings for the bios InsydeH2O Rev 5.0.

Thanks

Regards

    Download CPUID HWMonitor.

This software allows you too see your temps and fan speeds.

90 degrees is far too hot, shutdown will occur at, or close to 100 / 105 degrees

If your heat sink looks like this adding a Copper shim with a good thermal paste on both sides might help.

See how only one side of the chip is covered buy the heat sink. And this picture is the I5 version this seems to be very common issue on forms with this modle

GPU was exposed earlier also but it doesn't used to heat up like this. I have reduced max CPU power to 90% in power plans yet it goes above 90%. I am using real temp app.

I suspect fan is Not spinning as fast and as quick it should. I have replace 3 fans and did thermal pasting twice with arctic mx-4.

So I think something has got messed up with bios fan speed control either due to windows update or my attempt to speed up fan rpm by software. The fan RPM never goes above 1000.

Please help me with bios fan rpm settings if you know it. A request 🙏

Controlling the fan speed on your Acer E5-573G laptop can be achieved through a few different methods:
Change the System Cooling Policy: This can be done through the Control Panel1.
Click on the Start menu, search for Control Panel, and click on Open.
Click on Hardware and Sound and then Power Options.
    Click on Change Plan Settings.
Then click on Change Advanced Power Settings.
Under the Advanced Settings tab, click on the plus symbol under Processor Power Management.
Choose System Cooling Policy from the menu.
Click on the down arrow under System Cooling Policy.
Select Active from the menu to increase the speed of your CPU fan.
    Click on the OK button.
    BIOS
Change BIOS Settings: You can adjust the fan speed from the BIOS.
    Start/Restart your Acer laptop.
Press the Del, F2, F10, or F12 keys to load the BIOS menu.
Using the arrow keys, head over to the Monitor or Status option.
Open Fan Speed Control and select Fan Control Setting.
Choose the fan whose speed you want to change, and choose your desired speed from the list.
Press Enter and save the settings.
Please note that adjusting your fan speed can affect your laptop’s performance and lifespan, so proceed with caution. If you’re not comfortable with these steps, it’s recommended to contact Acer support or a professional technician.
