How to use the Aspire E5-722 without battery?

Hello, I would like to use the Acer Aspire as (Linux) emailserver. Without the battery is more safe I think. It would also not have a function with the power cable always connected to the wall socket. After removing the battery the laptop isn't powered. I tried without success the advice to be found on the internet pressing the power button for a minute. There is no reset button at the bottom. The battery is internal (without battery lid).

If it doesn't work plugged into the wall then it may not work without the battery. I have seen plenty that due but Ive read recently that not all laptops can.

Thanks, but "may not work" is a conclusion I could also figure out. Excuses, but more definitive information is welcome.

Can you perhaps link to the texts (hopefully there is information about laptop types and limitations)?

Now you seem like the tinkering type so maybe cut the wires off the old battery and wire it up to a plug with the same voltage sure you would have to run the wires out of the case and it would take up two outlets but if it works for you then hey.

I looked up your battery and it's not the soft kind that explode it has individual cells in it like the ones used in Vape mods you could try opening the pack and disconnect the batteries and just connect the cable and circuit board to where the battery was plugged in.

Well I am more of a digital tinkering guy. Soldering is not really my strongest skill.

I'll stick with, it doesn't work without the battery. For now most likely it's not gonna be like pressing a button, reconnecting cables or pulling a switch to make it work. Thanks a lot for your help!
