I have had this computer for about 17 months.
The parts per CPU-Z (as i cant post pictures)
CPU: Intel Coke I7 12700FMOBO:(Predator specific prebuilt)
Chipset Alder Lake rev2
Southbridge H670 rev 11
Bios R01-B0 (date 3/28/23
Mainboard Model
Predator PO5-640 (0x000004FC - 0x2F8948C0)GPU: PCI-E 4.0 RTW 3070 (brand PC Partner)
Rev A1PSU: EVGA 850 BQ (Bronze) Ram: Corsair DDR-5200 (tried both xmp on and off) 32 GB dual channel kit.
CMK32GX5M2B5200C40SSD NVME : I dont have the model of this but a generic 1TB SSD.This computer used to only freeze when streaming and gaming. Now its becoming much more frequent and has hard frozen (Screens all stay lit, no BSOD, will sit in this state indef)Maintenance that has been performed:CPU repasted (5 months ago)PSU replace (4 months ago)Ram: Bought a kit did not install it until recently. Due to if wanting to use the full 48 g (2x8 +2x16) i would need to remove the CPU cooler again (clearance issues)
troubleshooting tried so far:
Reseat all cables
Swap out Ram sticks (i still had the original pair in when this problem start and swapped to the corsairs
PSU has been swapped back to the old PSU (replaced the PSU due to failing fan kept just in case)
GPU drivers have been both clean rolled forward and backwards
Windows has been soft reinstalled (Keep personal files in windows reset function)
tried going down from 3 monitors back to 2 or even 1.
Updated as many drivers as i could via windows update (this was before and after i did a "reset").During each step of troubleshooting i restressed the system until a crash (ironically stress tests like prime95 and firmark did not cause a crash but palworld was pretty consistent crash within 15 minutes)Temps have all been monitored and all less than 80 at the hottest spots when under standard load (gaming +streaming). Future troubleshooting:Performing and AB BA swap with my older R5 1600 computer that has a gtx 1070 in it to see if the freeze follows the GPU or the rest of the system
Im kind of at a loss and not entirely sure, but its sounding more and more like cpu/mobo (i will just replace both if i have to because i don't want to play the game of which on is it).Just curious if anyone has any ideas for narrowing this down further or if im even on the right idea here.
Note: i do not have any dumpfiles except the original one most likely from the factory well before i had the PC in my hands as the computer does not BSOD and only hard freezes.
