I've tried for a few days to get my steam deck to allow me to view on my Acer KB242YH. Unfortunately, the driver for the monitor doesn't seem to work. Maybe I have the wrong driver or I'm missing a step. I'm not huge on computers but i have a friend who is. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading and potentially for help.

What are you using to connect to the monitor a docking station or a USB-C cable?

Connecting your Steam Deck to the Acer KB242YH monitor involves a few steps:

Set Up USB-C to HDMI Adapter on Steam Deck:

Steam Deck has only USB-C ports, so you must use a USB-C to HDMI adapter or a docking station. Plug it into Deck’s USB-C port and connect one end of an HDMI cable to the adapter.
Connect HDMI Cable to Monitor: Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your Acer KB242YH monitor.
Power On Devices: Turn on your Steam Deck and the Acer KB242YH monitor.
Select Input Source on Monitor: On your Acer KB242YH monitor, select the correct HDMI input source that the Steam Deck is connected to.
Now, your Steam Deck should be displayed on the Acer KB242YH monitor. If you have any issues, make sure all cables are securely connected and that both devices are powered on. If the problem persists, you may want to try a different HDMI cable or check for any software updates on your Steam Deck
