predator Helios 16 rtx 4060 ,i7 13700hx I want to undervolt the cpu, temps are crazy up to 85 degree

The cpu temps are crazy they just shoot up to 85 degrees while doing random tasks but the main problem is that it stays at 88 to 99 while gaming on performance mode i tried changing to balanced and it remained the same.

Also I keep the fans on max speed and it appears to do nothing at all but just decrease the temps by 5 percent in the CPUs case my GPU temps are fine it reaches max 94 and that to rarely and stays at 85-88. ( I keep my laptop on a cooling pad but am not using the fans on them in case of dust going inside my laptop)

So I thought of undervolting the cpu, is it a good idea or is there other things I may be able to do.

And if I can undervolt it, it would help me to get any tips or whats about the cpu. Thank you...

Cooling pad fan blades —- whether spinning or not spinning —- can block air flow in and out of laptop case. Best to simply raise the laptop about and inch above a hard surface taking care not to block air intake and exhaust vents. I use a toaster oven wire grate to raise my laptop.

Also, under heavy gaming loads, thermal module and heat sinks should be cleaned and re-pasted annually. This is considered normal maintenance.
