hello,

kubuntu 22.04
kernel 6.5.0-15-generic
acer an515-58

/sys/clas/backlight/nvidia_wmi_ec_backlight/actual_brightness

values change but screen brightness don`t

trying with intel gpu do not change anything. ls /sys/class/backlight/ only return nvidia_wmi_ec_backlight

sudo dmesg | grep -i "VGA\|GPU"

The hardware might be too new, try upgrading to 6.6. You can also try the Apps from Slimbook or Tuxedo Computers. Add their repos and install there specific apps for everything from facial recognition to Voltage control and keyboard controls for rgb.

    thx for your recommendation :)

Isn`t acer supposed to support drivers for its new hardware ?
