Predator Helios 16 Mic/Speakers disappear when webcam is plugged in

I am losing my laptop microphone and speakers when I plug in a logitech 920 webcam into a USB port. When I mean lose, I mean they totally vanish from windows. After I unplug the webcam the mic and speakers will reappear in the settings list, or if not they will after a quick reboot.

Is there some ridiculous setting that is causing this to happen?

The Logitech C920 is a popular webcam known for its high-quality video and audio performance. Here are some key specifications:

Video Quality: Full HD 1080p video calling and recording.
    Lens: Full HD glass lens.
    Field of View: 78°.
Light Correction: HD auto light correction.
Audio: Stereo audio with dual microphones.
Privacy Shutter: Comes with a privacy shutter.
This webcam is compatible with most video calling apps like Skype, Google Hangouts, and FaceTime for Mac. It’s a great choice for video conferencing, streaming, or recording.

The built in Mic and Stereo audio on the C920 are probably taking over for some reason. I would take a look at the Logitech forums.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

    Disable the Webcam’s Audio Component:

    Plug in your webcam.
    Open Device Manager.
Under “Sound, video and game controllers”, find the “HD Pro Webcam C920” entry.
Right-click on “HD Pro Webcam C920” and select “Disable”. Confirm any prompts if required.
    Restart the Windows Audio Service:

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
    Type services.msc and press Enter.
In the list of services, scroll down and find “Windows Audio”.
Right-click on “Windows Audio” and choose "Restart".
If the audio doesn’t restore within 30 seconds after disabling the webcam’s audio component, try manually restarting the Windows Audio Service. If these steps don’t resolve your issue, you may want to contact Logitech’s customer support for further assistance. Remember to back up your data before making any major changes to your system.
