I would like to know if I can use 2022 Model (AN515-46) Year fans on my older 2021 model (AN515-45)?

As availability of the replacement fans for my model in my region is scarce.

From the pictures I see that the mounting points etc are pretty similar so just want to know if I can install AN515-46 Fans

(Replacement due to rust build up on existing fans [Live in super humid area])

As you can see from the pictures the mount point and sizes are pretty similar so would be easier to get these instead of the older parts.

Do let me know if anyone has any ideas about this or I'll just go for a coin toss and try to get some.

Thank you.

Well if the correct spares were available in my region then I wouldn't have to ask the question on this forum:/

Hi everyone @brummyfan2 @JackE @StevenGen, so i got the fans and they work and fit perfectly in the older laptop.
i.e I am using AN515-46 fans (Pair) in my existing old AN515-45 (below is my laptop)

The only issue I would say is probably the fan speed these are pretty slow.

Temps seem fine but yeah fan speed probably limited by bios ? or something else if anyone has any ways by which they would be able to control the fan speed without NitroSense please let me know from what i know if these fans are up to spec then they should be going above 6000RPM.

Does changing the fan speed to maximum not work for you?

Can you try removing the fan blades and putting the new ones into the old motors?

This video is from the older Nitro 5 model. I hope that the new model will also let you remove the fan blades like it.

So the blades are removeable and that's fine i see what you are trying to get at, but my issue is with the rust, which is present on the housing not on the blades themselves, so im sure the new housing panels will align correctly with the screws etc and the rpm will also be as expected (around 4500 to 5000rpm)

but could you tell me if the stock fans come at 5v 0.5a = 2.5w of power

and the 2022 model AN515-46 model fans are rated at 12v 1A according to what is engraved on the metal housing (listed on ebay as 5v) so do you think you can get the voltage of stock fans for 2021 - AN515-45

and stock fans of 2022 - AN515-46 model variants and would the 4-pin motherboard socket for the fans also have change in voltage across the model years ? from 5v to 12v ? (the battery is the exact same)

    @n77nikhil

I think I see the problem here. The stock AN515-45 fans are 5V-0.5A. The newer AN515-46 fans are rated at 12V-1A. Using the higher voltage-rated fans will not provide enough power for faster speed.

Return those fans and get the ones for these models: AN515-45 AN515-55 AN515-56 AN515-57

Yeah i have them coming on the way but i also plan to get PH315-54 GPU fan, do you know what is the max RPM of that fan? PH315-54 GPU is pretty difficult to find (operates at 5V 1A) If you know a good source for that port please link it to me thanks :)

This is the Predator PH315-54 VGA Fan True Value Table and the CPU/GPU fans that this laptop model uses:
