Greetings!

Hope you have a Great New Year 2024!

I removed my Optane Memory Card and installed a new SSD in its place.

SSD C: Drive - Windows 11 (installed and it is working).

Original Drive partitioned - D: Linux (empty) F: Back-up (used).

To install Linux on D: drive - RST cannot be active.

The SATA mode options in BIOS settings are - Optane with Raid and AHCI.

Seeing that I do not have Optane Memory Card anymore. I changed the SATA mode to AHCI.

Saved and exited BIOS. The system did not boot-up properly. I changed the SATA mode back to Optane with Raid in BIOS. The system booted up properly and I could access Windows 11.

I am definitely a Newbie and no Techie.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

After switching to AHCI, press Alt+F10 before the logo appears or let it restart a couple of times to go to the automatic repair screen. Go to troubleshoot, advanced options, and choose startup settings. Restart and choose the safe mode by pressing 4 or F4. After going into safe mode, you can restart the Windows and it will boot normally again.
