I have an Aspire A517-51G-54CK. It came with an M.2 256gb M+B SSD. What is the maximum storage M.2 MM+B SSD I can upgrade it with?

The A517-51G has a max interface of PCI33x2 NVMe and SATA M.2 SSD drive, if you put a PCIe3x4 NVMe M.2 SSD drive into this laptop then the Gen3x4 will run at 50% of its potential read/write speed and at read 1200MB/s and write 1500MB/s and its 2.5" SATA interface drive is a SATA-3 interface drive and will run at read 600MB/s and write 700MB/s speed than the M.2 SSD.

Acer shows in this laptops SG that it fitted a max 512GB SATA M.2 SSD drive into this laptop and a 2TB max 2.5" SATA-3 mechanical drive into this laptop. You can easily have a 1TB PCIe or SATA interface boot M.2 SSD drive with a 2TB 2,5" SATA drive if you want to utilize the full capacity of this laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out
