Acer FA100 1TB SSD Keeps Disappearing and Causes DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION on Nitro 5 AN515-55

So I decided to treat myself to a new SSD card and bought an Acer one from Amazon and it seemed fine for the first day but now it's disappearing and causing errors. I've tried updating drivers, deleting possible issues, all the stuff howtogeek and a few other websites suggested for the error. I even reset my laptop and the same issue occurrs at least 3 times a day. I don't know if it's just my ssd card that's acting up or the laptop. Maybe even if I don't have the right kind of SSD card?? I'd like to get info back asap so if I need a replacement or a return the ssd card I can do it without extra charge

The Acer FA100 M.2 SSD drive is a perfect M.2 SSD drive for your Nitro 5 laptop that has a PCIe3x4 drive slot and it should work 100% on your Nitro 5 laptop, I've just changed my M.2 SSD on my Nitro 5 AN515-56 to a Samsung 1TB EVO 970, and it works 100% and is detected 100% every time.

Did you clone the original boot OS M.2 SSD drive within the laptops 2nd M.2 SSD slot where the Acer FA100 M.2 SSD drive should be? As that is how you do a fast and a successful clone. And then you need to take the old boot OS M.2 SSD drive out of the laptop and put the Acer FA100 M.2 SSD new boot drive into the Boot SSD1 Slot of the Nitro 5 and boot the OS with the new drive to see if the new cloned OS and drive work 100%, which it should do! If you are still having problems, then its either your laptop has an M.2 slot problem, or the new M.2 SSD drive is faulty.

Afterwards, and if you want to use the old boot OS M.2 SSD drive as a slave drive in the laptops SSD2 slot, you need to do a compete format of the SSD2 drive which is Disk 1 so do this or follow this guide here:

1. Go to cmd and run as administrator.
2. From the command prompt, type diskpart and press Enter
3. From the diskpart prompt, type list disk and press Enter
4. A list of disks will appear in a text format. Note: Disk 0 is usually the C:\ boot drive and Disk 1 is usually the D:\ slave drive. Please be certain that you are erasing the correct disk.
5. From the diskpart prompt select a Disk 1 number (which is the old boot M.2 SSD drive and its partitions) so you type and select Disk 1) and press Enter.
6. To End this format, please be certain that you are erasing the correct disk.

Warning: Diskpart Erase/Clean will permanently erase all data (but the data will be recoverable) on the selected drive. And Diskpart Clean All will thoroughly and completely delete/erase and take all data off the M.2 SSD drive to beyond recovery and will take at least 6 hours to permanently erase/clean a 1TB M.2 SSD drive, so be aware of that and use this command only for that purpose and if your data is valuable and you don't want anyone recovering that data.
